Bainbridge Island Solar U Workshop

7:30pm

We would like to invite you to our Bainbridge Island Solar U Workshop!  This free solar educational workshop is presented by Sunergy Systems and benefits Habitat for Humanity of Kitsap County with more solar energy

For many years, we have enjoyed a fulfilling relationship with the great folks of Habitat for Humanity of Kitsap County (HHKC).  Its roots began with collaboration over the Harris Court housing project in Port Orchard.  The goal was to create sustainable housing that empowers homeowners to keep control of their longterm expenses.  Solar was crucial to meeting this objective, so the employee owners of Sunergy Systems provided designing and solar installation training for the Harris Court Project.  Then, the rest, as they say, is history.

Since then, Sunergy Systems and HHKC have continually joined forces to grow solar by conducting Solar U workshops in Kitsap. Read more about this partnership here.

Our Bainbridge Island Solar U Workshop is our latest event that benefits Habitat for Humanity of Kitsap County. For every homeowner that goes solar with Sunergy Systems after attending our Solar U, there will be a donation of solar panels to Habitat for future Kitsap projects.  It is these combined efforts that really spread the good energy around Kitsap and we’d like you to join us!

Why Is Solar So Important To Us?

Solar stands with other renewables as a more viable and long-term alternative to the use of fossil fuels. There are many ways to combat climate change and solar is one of them!  But many questions persist:

  • How well does solar work in the Northwest?
  • Are solar panels affordable for my family?
  • What solar financing options are available?
  • What solar incentives and rebates may I be eligible for?
  • When you combine a 30% Federal Tax Credit, net metering, and the Washington State Productive Incentive, solar generously pays you back!

At our Solar U, you'll get answers to all these questions and learn all about:

  • How solar panels actually convert light from the sun in to usable electric power.
  • How solar power works in the Pacific Northwest.
  • Available Federal and State Incentives.
  • Reducing your environmental impact while increasing your home's resale value.
  • Proper siting for solar on a home or business.

Rrefreshments and snacks will be available.
